I think it sounds too much like a cop out. She went on the warpath and then when it gets too hot is suddenly a paranoid schizophrenic. It's not getting drunk, it's not just being a daft racist, but instead it's full on 'she is schizo'.

Why not just say sorry and move on? I should have pleaded schizo instead of drunk, it's far more dramatic and people have to feel sorry for you. "Oh look at the poor dribbling mess, he didn't know what he was saying".

I was going to say "so now your bigotry extends to cover mental illness" but that would be unkind and unnecessary to point out to a fellow sufferer. It would be like me calling Bilbo a racist,homophobic,intolerant,fundamentalist,self obsessed xenophobe and so I will refrain.

I just think that is an extreme means of evading what you have said. A person should just say sorry and avoid any repetition of said behaviour. If you carry on doing it then it is only then that you would truly regard the person as an outright racist.

I am a depressed type and wouldn't use mental illness as an excuse for anything I did. I would just tell the truth and admit that I was drunk and hope my future actions level out what people believe of me.

Judging by You Tube comments half the world is schizophrenic, or are they just racists run amok?
