I thought the fight would be a big deal in England. Maybe not.

I would like it to happen but it won't. Haye only wants one more fight and that's against Vitali for big money.

Agreed it would be a good fight but Hayes ego will stop the fight from happening, he think Chisora is beneath him.

This is probably true which is daft, if he does want to come back i think right now chisora would be a great fight for haye

Chis is a big name now coming off 2 very good performances against 2 big names

Its a perfect time for haye to fight someone he would more than likely dominate, and chis looks like he has a very good chin, but i think his punch resisance has been flattered a bit recently and i think haye would stop him relatively early which would be a step back to gaining the kind of reputation he had before wlad

Like i say, if haye wants a way back this fight would be perfect, its a great opportunity, and right now it would be worth a bob or two

Go ahead and cue up about 4 months of "David Haye is still retired" talk.

The fight will happen and is seemingly a competitive matchup, but you must realize that Chisora is a bit too young and fresh to be a David Haye opponent.

    funny

but you pick up on a good point, it is "seemingly" a competative matchup, so people around boxing (despite chisora losing his last 3 competative fights), due to his displays against vitali and helenius, will think chisora is at that kind of level

when in reality he isnt and if he doesnt stop him, haye should really win every round

I don't have much faith in David Haye's chin. It's the reason he ran around so much against Wlad. Derek Chisora, if nothing else, has a strong chin, and is persistent. If Del Boy lasts until the later rounds, he might knock Haye out. Other than the hoopla, that's what makes the fight interesting.

see i think that is why its a no lose situation for haye, i dont think chis has the power to hurt him even if hayes chin is suspect

ive seen a lot of chisoras fights and even at times against journeymen who do get knocked over he hasnt really made a dent

his best KO wins are against sam sexton, who really struggles with stamina after a few rounds

i think those KOs were more to do with sam running out of steam that dereks power

Yes agreed I think Chisora will be too dangerous for Haye, he has hit him already so Chisora is extra motivated to take the grin off Haye’s face and I think Chisora would try and bulldozer Haye.

Haye said today that he won't fight a guy who has lost his last three fights...So why the fuck does he fight people on the level of Fraudley and Ruiz ?

This fight would be massive, MASSIVE, in the UK.

However Haye would not take the risk at fighting del boy.

It might happen if the money is right for haye and he is guaranteed a title shot for the winner.
But the chances of that happening are pretty low.

From Hayes pov why take the fight if he can get a title shot instead.

Haye fought monte barret, a washed up john ruiz who'd lost something like 4 out of his last 5 fights.....he then had that awful joke of a fight with audley.......stunk the place out in his embarracing Wlad toe gate.....yet he syas he wont fight Del Boy...you know why? because he knows it wont be a easy night

Haye = big talk and very little fight

Really I have no respect for Chisora. First he slaps Vitali. Then he spits in Wlad face. He was the one who when after Haye. Then he cries like a bitch saying he glass me. Haye doesn't need Chisora, But Chisora damn sure needs Haye.

People (understandably) dislike Haye and like Erics says this sometimes causes them to come up with clouded judgements.

Wlad was awful against Haye and his latest 'fight' is one of the worst match ups ever made in boxing. I hope his next fight is great because he's hardly on a career high right now is he?
It is much, much different with the Cruiserweights moving up into Heavyweight, my friend. The difference between light welterweight and welterweight is a mere seven pounds.

The difference between heavyweight and cruiserweight is anything between ten to one-hundred pounds. The lightest the Klitschkos are going to come in is at 240 lbs. A fighter shouldn't be making a beeline from 200lb opponents straight to one that is 240.

But I don't see a big deal, either. It's not like we've got many challengers in the heavyweight division.

Whether that be football, boxing, cycling or whatever.

In this thread you have people saying Haye was HW champion, I heard the news and I follow boxing, seen him fight Valvez I even seen him do dozens of interviews with a belt.

I even looked a numerous rankings for the heavyweight division, most said he was 3rd ranked heavyweight, a strange few even placed him 2nd ranked heavyweight in the world.

Why because he was never No.1 in the boxings fans eyes.
He kept running his mouth off at the Klitschos, and he got the "real" world title fight against Wlad.

But he lost his bottle in the publicity and behaved like a scared little child, he threw insults and temper tantrums.
Wlad was pure class even before a punch had been thrown.

Wlad is not the most exciting fighter in the world, but he is arguably the No.1 boxer at heavyweight for many years.
Haye got his shot, and even before the fight he announced his retirement and got beat.
But still will not shut the fuck up.

Boxing is a man's sport and you risk your life in the ring, if you beat the best you are not just a winner you are a CHAMPION, the most prestigious honour is to beat the heavyweight champion, then you can be called the heavyweight champion of the world.

Better than anyone on the planet in one of the oldest and most respected sports.
You name will be written in the history books and you will be compared to all the greats.

So excuse me when I can not stomach the thought of any adult with boxing knowledge who calls Haye a HW champion.
There is actually a word for Haye, a paper champion, because he was only even a champion on paper.

But before we judge Haye to harshly lets look at his reign as a paper champion.
Who did he fight to call himself no.1 in the world

Valuez A giant who had beat Ruiz for the Title then struggled against an ageing Holyfield
Ruiz A man who lost to Valuez, but still a decent boxer
    Audley Harrison Absolute disgrace

Valuez was a paper champion with one championship defence against 46 year old Holyfield.
There wasn't a single sane person that thought Valuev beat Holyfield.

So I'm going to correct you. Valuev was outboxed by a 46 year-old Holyfield, and got a gift decision.

If any fighter I loved did the same stuff Haye did, I wouldn't care for them any longer. I'd hate them the same as I hate David Haye.
