He's still the best out there. Like you said he might not be as consistant as he used to be but he's still better than the rest.

He wouldn't have won as many "world" titles if there wasn't a split.
All the current best PDC players have come from the BDO barring Adrian Lewis. If you compare the BDO and PDC world championships, the strength in depth is defintely with the BDO until just a few years ago.
A lot of Taylors "world" titles are micky mouse when you compare them with the field at Lakeside that year.

I used to think like you too. But if you actually look at who Taylor was beating compared with the BDO field in that particular year, you'll find almost EVERY current top PDC player was in the BDO.Originally Posted by roberto duran legend

Best sportsman in the world in my lifetime (and as long as darts is recognised as a sport then thats what he is)
He will never get the recognition because the sport is darts but has any other sportsman EVER achieved what he has and continued to raise the bar 20 years later ??
He is still consistent - more so than any one else in the field - but now very capable of having a bad night when things not going his way as he puts pressure on himself
