I think if Ortiz was somewhat succesful in taking PBF to the ropes and pinning him there it'll be a matter of what Cotto can land once he is there...
He would need to take advantage of those moments.
If PBF thinks he can go to the ropes and just let Cotto shoot he is making a big mistake IMO.
Cotto is the type of fighter that can finish you off if he has you pinned.
A huge Cotto fan but my prediction is PBF via decision.
For my likings it's hands down Cotto...
I've seen his pro career from day 1 and I believe he is better than Ortiz in both depts.
He's been a brawler, a boxer, a counter puncher thru his career.
I believe he is more versatile and much more seasoned then Ortiz.
The last opponent Ortiz stopped was Harris in 2010.
Cotto on the other hand keeps getting TKO's. In the last 3/4 yrs I can only think of SSM & Clottey going the distance with him.
Cotto beats Ortiz 10 out of 10 times.
Cotto at 140 was much better, tougher and just more dynamic than Victor Ortiz..
H2H though, Ortiz has the style to scare the shit outa Cotto.. That quick fisted orthodox turned southpaw style of ORtiz could catch and put Cotto on queerstreet, just as Chop Chop did way back.. Had him doing the Puerto Rican salsa dance and everthing.
Cotto is better..
cotto stopped victoriano sosa, chopx2 corley and zab judah while PBF went the distance with all 3, come to think of it if Cotto's facial structure could hold up he might just have a puncher'schance![]()

I just saw the Mosley vs Cotto fight and Cotto got hit alot in that fight but after the interview he didn't have a scratch on his face. Anyone know why now he's been cutting up so easily? It doesn't make sense to me, maybe cuz he was younger but I feel there would be other things that have to do with it.
