I don't really have a favourite but guys who have actually fought make better commentators, guys like Roy Jones are good commentators. Roy should retire and become a commentator on HBO.
From the HBO team I like Max Kellerman and the sky sports guys aren't bad apart from Jim Watt.

With me it's not really about specfic boxing commentators it's more about bits of commentary that commentators say in fights that I like.

I love in the George Foreman Vs Hoe Frazier where Howard Cosell screams "Down goes Frazier !! Down goes Frazier !! Down goes Frazier !! The Heavywesight champ is as posed as as can be !!" (0.21)

Or in the Pac-Man Vs Hatton at 3.59 where Jim Lampley screams "A tsunami for Manny Pacquaio in tound one !!" I just love the excitment in his voice it really captures intensity of the fight

I also like the way the commentator ended the Froch Vs Taylor (2.29 fight which was an excellent fight "Punches in bunches and it's over...I'm going back to England Ma and I'm keeping my title" (lol)

All these lines weren't scripted but that made them better as it just came from the heart.

All time, Harry Carpenter. Right now, Al Bernstein or Merchant.

As much as I personally disliked Howard Cosell, he did call some great fights. As for a favorite I don't know that I really have one at the moment, they're all pretty annoying at times.

I take it you meant Joe Frazier, Smokin' Joe might have taken exception to being called "Hoe".

Seriously... Don Dunphy. I had a love/hate think going with Cosell.

In my case it was more hate, but Cosell did do a great job at times calling fights.
