Other more normal favourites include bolognese sauce (better in a toastie), ham and chilli sauce and soft cheese and pepper.

What do you like squeezed between your slices of bread?

I could name 100 or more different combinations and/or types of sandwiches I like, really soon however, I'll be harvesting some of my own ripe homegrown tomatoes. Which sliced up goes great with fresh lettuce and either really good ham or bacon, with a bit of mayonnaise.

Nought wrong with a sausage sarnie laced with a line of ketchup. It is a wonderful thing.

I'm not really into brown sauce myself.

Now you're talking, nothing beats a BLT made with a fresh homegrown tomato! As a kid I used to eat tomato sandwiches with a lil mayo and fresh cracked pepper and salt but it sucks with store purchased tomatoes.
