I think this is Hopkins retirement fight. Dawson will beat him up as never seen before and Hopkins finally gets the message that his time has been and gone.

That's probably the way that it SHOULD go, but I have a feeling this one stinks again. Hopkins will do anything on earth not to lose these days, and Dawson is flat out lazy half the time. It's a really nasty combination imo, Hopkins may want to spoil more than Chad wants to fight. I see a crap fight with Hopkins losing the real exchanges but mauling all day without being warned(hope not) and Dawson more or less letting him and then losing his focus and getting stupid again. Wouldn't be AT ALL surprised to see this one end in some pathetic DQ again for either man. Who is the referee?

Word for word.... EXACTLY what I think. Seen too many Hopkins stinkers to know that this is all too true. I'd love to be proven wrong, but chances are I won't be.

I cannot get away from seeing Hopkins turn back the clock...again. I've seen no indication in Dawson that he is ready or willing to 'seek & destroy' and if he settles and plays chess with Hopkins I think he'll lose by a few. Im looking forward to this one and don't think it will be a lemon. Hopkins via dec.

Would love to see another classic Hopkins performance, but I think Dawson wins it here. I hate picking against Hopkins. He proved me wrong against Trinidad, Tarver & Pascal x2. If Dawson's focused he wins this

Mars - what up with a Friday Night Thread? I'll be on, man. My favorite light heavyweight, Sillakh is fighting an undefeated Russian that I've seen before, and isn't half bad. Plus, we have the South African Super Middleweight on Showbox.

What time is the main event? On a night out tonight, going to see loco dice in Leeds and I want to try and come back in time for the fight, hopefully it's a late one.

Come on Dawson, give him something to really complain about. I used to like Hopkins, but in recent years he has been handpicking smaller men and resorted to outright cheating. Pascal was the obvious exception to the smaller man thing, but even he put Hopkins down twice.

This will be the end of old B-Hop.

I had it about even. Nothing in it, they were hardly hitting each other. Im probably not the best judge as I got bored to tears within three rounds and played on the computer while watching it. I am however glad this fight happened. They were both at the top of the devision, its a shame more fighters at the top of there devisions dont do the same. But one of the most boring fights I have forced myself to watch in a long time.

I wanted Dawson to win and shut the ole man up, a KO would have been great but Hop is just too wily and slick for that. Although Hop did his best to make this a boring foulfest, I still enjoyed seeing Dawson win. I won't go as far as saying that Chad clowned/owned Bernard, but he did make him look like an old fool in there at times. Funny how before the fight Hopkins was telling us how fucking smart he is in the ring, well guess what, Chad looked like the one with the brains in there last night.

I'm torn over the prediction on this fight. Part of me sees it exactly as you do; the other part of me thinks that you can never count Hopkins out.

I'm strangely interested in this fight

Could be a dud but I have a feeling the rematch will be better than we expect.

    Prediction: Dawson on points
