Default Amir Khan vs Victor Ortiz

What better than the two people who got screwed over because of the cheats?

This is actually a pretty damn good idea.

If Khan wins maybe he fights Pacqauio vs. Bradley winner.

Theres no way they can put it together fast enough to fill in either date of course. If for no other reason, Khan was training for Peterson at 140 wheras Ortiz is a big welterweight. It would be a great fight if it did happen down the line though.

This is the best fight to be made right now. I see Khans speed and power being to much for Ortiz and winning by KO.

Perhaps but things did change, if Ortiz could bully Khan and fight a bit from the inside, that could well be the hella fight.

This seems pretty logical. It has been reported that Maidana was offered Ortiz and Khan, but turned them down because he had just begun with a new trainer and because there wasn't enough time. I don't see why they don't just do Khan v. Ortiz. Right now they are schedule to fight within two weeks of each other. Maybe Khan isn't ready for 147?

Tough one. Khan wins the skill and speed department but the guy cannot deal with adversity and seems to fall apart and lose focus especially when he's crowded. No plan B. Ortiz as raw and technically flawed as he is would crowd him. Interesting fight.

To go up or down a weight either of them would need a reasonable amount of time to make the transition. You cant expect either of them to do it that fast especially since it was not either of there falts that these two fights have been called off.

Can't at all. It's only that at least they were both preparing for a fight so they would be in shape.

I hear it can't happen anyway as Ortiz was supposed to be on Shotime where as Khan was due on HBO. How would they work that?

That's odd, I had assumed Ortiz and Berto were fighting on HBO again. What was the undercard to that fight anyways? Im so out of the loop, I'd imagine in theory they could sort of half salvage both cards and put them on HBO given a month or so Whether Khan would be willing to fight at 147 without a full camp to prepare is another issue. Its not as though since he is capable he should simply do so, Ortiz is a strong fighter.
