Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I just hope we don't get a hometown decision here. Boxing needs more fights where undefeated guys are willing to take the risk and fight in an opponent's backyard.
If Bute fights well and wins a fair decision in front of a sold out crowd, that would be good for boxing.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't Froch the same fighter who would of been stripped of his title if he didn't fight Jermaine Taylor? Isn't Froch the same fighter who bitched and complained that he had to face Mikkel Kessler in Denmark? Even using a volcano eruption as an excuse to try and get out of the fight? Isn't Froch the same fighter who threatened to pull out and even retire if he couldn't face Arthur Abraham in Nottingham? Isn't Froch the same fighter who had to be threatened with legal action in order to reach a compromise and face Abraham in Switzerland?
Id like to see Froch forget about loading up on those big shots. I used to mention them before he fought Pascal, he seems to think hes quicker than he is, he loads up and swings and rhe opponent is already out the way. He did it with Ward too. He needs to think like Calzaghe here and throw lots of sharp shots, stuff that will either actually land or at least keep Bute thinking. If he just waits for the single jabs or or uppercuts, he will give Zbute plenty of time to land first. He needs to pressure Bute and make him feel uncomfortable and make him work and tire. Froch is used toworking hard late wheras Bute isnt.
