I'm with you, I think its right that the BBBofC should be taking a stand on this front. As for the point about licensing fights in Dubai, I'm pretty sure none of the fighters involved in those countries were banned by the boxing commission in that country.

Like anyone else I think criminals should have the chance to be rehabilitated and to return to their trade. This isn't about the character of the individuals fighting, rather it is about the BBBofC giving a guy a one year ban, and that individual trying to weasel his way around that ban.

They've got no choice but to take these kind of sanctions, otherwise they'll come across as hugely weak and toothless.
