Manfredo, was a classic example of a fighter being ruined by his father's piss poor management. He had no business fighting Calzaghe when he did, and it ruined his confidence forever. He was an ok fighter that would have, most definitely, had more success with better management. I believe that Roach had just started working with him when the Calzaghe fight was made. Needless to say that Freddie quit immediately after learning about that mismatch.

I don't much about Jerry Quarry's dad, but I'd like to know more about him and what he did towards his son's boxing career?
