Cotto stated he would be willing to go for a 4th division world title,
Being the first Puerto Rican fighter to do so.
The article states he might consider a catchweight to do so.

I'm not sure about Cotto at 160 but it would be nice if he committed to it though.
I would be very disappointed if he chose to do it at a catchweight. Also, I hope he would fight at that weight and fight Martinez if both were to win , in a unification bout.
Hopefully he doesn't do like our friend Pacquiao and fight for a vacant title, a non ranked opponent, at a catch weight, and never defend.
If he is serious, I would hope it would be for a few fights, as it would open up all sorts of intriguing match ups were he to carry his weight well.
I'm not so sure, him being is a small JMW.
Your kidding me right? 3 of Cotto's 4 titles were vacant when he won them. He didn't beat a champion to win them. The only champion he's ever to beaten to win a title was the crippled Jew who couldn't punch or fight for shit.

Cotto's 2 groupies I'm sure will say I'm talking shit about him. But those are straight facts

Why do you have so much hate for Cotto? He has achieved a lot in the sport and comes across as a good guy. I will be gutted the day Cotto leaves the sport because he brings exciting fights and always gives it his best, I dont understand the hate to be honest.

Short answer: Because he hates all Puerto Rican boxers.

so I'm guessing that that's why Mexico's two biggest stars (Alvarez and JCC Jr) decided to "follow suit" and do "the same thing", well minus the the detail of Miguel actually defending his titles against world level opposition
