Being trained by a conditioner, in the absence of Roach and having wild sparring sessions instead of working on a gameplan have really comeback to haunt him.
But even still, his conditioner was telling him not to get wild. He emphasized the point and Khans response was something like, "Yeah but it's exciting"

He's just going to be one of those fighters who's ego will just always get the better of him no matter who his trainer is. The best I've seen him stick to a plan was against Kotelnik..but then again, he wasn't a big puncher.
