I still disagree with that...he was caught. No matter how small the amount was, it helped with his training and hence would have translated to his in-ring work. It helps with cutting weight too..another unfair advantage he would have gained simply from taking it.

Also, just imagine he got tested a day before..or even two days before? Would the amount in his system been way higher? Everything has a half-life and Enzo may have been tested at the tail end of the substances excretion from the body..

So, again. I feel your points are invalid for those reasons. Nothing personal..Although someone may need to pass Adam another Maxipad.

I know that you may think I'm splitting hairs here, and I have no doubt that the supplement was taken to try and improve performance in his training. The substance that Enzo was found to have in his system was Methylhexaneamine according to the UKAD decision. This is a supplement that is legal if found in the system during training, however it is one that was found in the post-fight tests, and the level was only marginally above the allowed limit.

I'm not sure if it is exactly the same supplement, but Tony Dodson is also serving a five month ban for testing positive for Methylhexaneamine. This is related to the Dimethylpentylamine, and by deduction from the ingredient list we looked at previously Dimethylphenylamine.

I think we can discount the point about cutting weight in this instance, as Enzo has always walked around under the cruiserweight limit, and his fights prior to the McPhilbin bout had been at light-heavy. He came in 11 pounds under the limit, and apart from Boxing Day after the festive eating, I doubt he'll ever go over the cruiserweight limit.

Is that true? It's allowed while you're training? I never heard that before. Does that relate to only that particular substance on the banned list? If so, I am happily mistaken on that point.

P.S Also good point about the fight being at Cruiser. I forgot about him fighting at light heavy mostly now

Do you have a link to where it says that? Thanks, Super.

    Global DRO - United Kingdom

This is the website that UKAD refer you on to when you click on to 'check my medications'. Basically, it's a search engine based directory, so not sure if you'll click on to my results with that link.

Otherwise, go through Global DRO and then choose UK > Athlete > Boxing > and type the name. In-competition is defined as the 12 hours prior to the event and during the event, while everything else is covered in the Out-of-competition category.
