Default Randall Bailey vs. Devon Alexander-Can Bailey do it again ?

I'm a big Bailey fan and I picked him to beat Mike Jones even though it was an uphill battle and I was happy as hell when he got the big KO !

Devon Alexander is far and away a better fighter than Mike Jones. He's faster, more talented, and a better inside fighter, also a bit dirty.

On the plus side Alexander is also a natural 140 lber and a southpaw, meaning he will be in line to eat that monster right hand at some point and due to his smaller size may not take the punch so well.

So can Bailey do it again and KO Devon Alexander ?

Devon will out box and hold him to win the title.

Yes indeed but would still be fun as both are very sharp and have sting in their punches

Especially the hold part. Prepare for another unwatchable Devon Alexander grapple-fest.

I think he can and hope he will, big time! John ruiz Devon alexander might try to grapple, snuggle and bear hug on the inside to work Baileys old legs but I dont think he's strong enough and Baileys uppercut will be a truth serom. I just don't see Alexander having the attitude or mentality to push...take the attack to Bailey early on. On paper he's faster of foot with solid hand speed and younger and shifty enough for a points win but Bailey is one of the few guys I don't shy away from saying he has the single shot ability to hurt and end most. If he lands clean and right on Devon I think Devon falls apart mentally right before he is concussed.

Devon looked different at 147 and Baileys timing is gone. Power is the last thing to go as one is born with it and Bailey has 1 shot Jackson power but as much as I like Randall I just don't give him much of a shot. I think he gets stopped tbh.

Alexander did have a melt down and quit in the Bradley fight, so maybe if he gets rocked against Bailey he melts down again. Bailey is really up against it in this match up and all that is on his side is power and heart.

Also he's going to need to throw more punches than he did against Jones. I'd like to see him use the left hook as he has one shot KO'd people with that punch as well. Honestly, that right uppercut KO of Jones was the first time I had seen him KO anyone with an uppercut, its usually the right cross or straight right.

I've watched a lot of Bailey's fights, and he is not really a good inside fighter. Devon would be smarter to actually fight on the inside with Bailey, but that is not the way he fights. There will be a lot of holding, and I am pretty sure a big headbutt is going to happen.

If bailey were an animal he would be a mongoose. Guy jumps at the opportunity to get his big shots in, but does not have a lot of followup.. and yes he usually KOs with the straight right all the way at the end of the punch.

Alexander's last watchable fight was Urango. Since then he is been using that wide foot stance, been trying to outbox everyone, and tie up. He had no plan B for Bradley when it did not go his way, because he no longer relies on his (fist) power.

You just never know with Bailey, he is extremely dangerous. He looked spent against Jones, then whammo he strikes with that right hand. Alexander will probably win, but it would not surprise me at all to see him sprawled out on his ass. Good luck to Bailey, i think he has had a fine career, he is limited, but he has shocked us all so many times, also a few opponents!

He's def in deep at this career stage. Honestly I don't know if he can get that left off at this point. He wasn't pulling the trigger vs Jones and it almost looked to be a detriment half the time as he'd be wide open to counter and legs splayed off balance. He'd do better to maybe be that one trick pony as Devon will get close and bends in. Baileys bread and butter isn't the upper but he can touch that body with it and he picked an impressive fashion to bring it out vs Jones. It was a fantastically savage shot. I'm dying to see Devon field a right from him

Hell yeah its good to see some Bailey fans and support for the guy on here !

We all know this is an extremely difficult fight for him, but who doesn't love a power puncher ? Especially an aging power puncher.

    GO Bailey !

If Alexander boxes like he did agaianst Maidana he will win this one quite easily. It was such a composed performance and he was very impressive. Alexander would give any fighter problems if he continues to box like he did against Maidana. I look forward to seeing him again.

Bailey can bang though, if Alexander gets caught like any fighter could against Bailey he could get stopped. But as long as Alexander boxes clever I think he wins pretty much every round.
