Yes the kid can box, he just can't sustain it against the best. Man he has gotten some big fights too, Cloud, Johnson, now Froch. He must have great management. His manager or promoter or whomever used to post on here too.

Good for Mack I say, it ought to be a very good pay day and he is talented so who knows, maybe he scores a major major upset. Stranger things have happened in boxing.

On paper it appears to be a near blow out though.

I am sure we have Mack's manager/trainer on here some times. Mack is a reasonable fighter, not in Froch class but will give it a go.

The other thing about Mack as an opponent is that he is an American, who has been on HBO/Showtime a couple of times. If Froch wants to remain relevant to the American boxing public, but also fight a stay-busy fight, he's not a poor choice.

Carl Froch is probably my favourite fighter and I expect him to catch up to Mack at some point and stop him (probably in the mid/late rounds when Mack starts to slow), but Mack has shown some slick boxing skills and Froch is hardly Pernell Whitaker. IMO, Mack takes the early rounds and makes Froch look bad until Froch's pressure wears him down and Mack gasses like usual.
