    Default Judging consistency

Judging judges: New method of determining consistency | RingTV

Some numbers guy who's also a judge did some math and crunched some numbers and averaged judging consistency since 2009. A few of the ones we tend to consistently bitch about we find towards the bottom, wan hoy, van de wille, ford, byrd but julie lederman is at the top so obviously something is flawed with the system....lol. I just thought its an interesting find.

I've been watching boxing 50+ years and don't ever recall as many horrible decisions as there's been in the last 2 years or so.

Over 50 years for me too, and I agree it's gotten worse recently! It's not just big money anymore either, there are literally fortunes to be made or lost on the outcome of a single fight! There is so much money floating around boxing today nothing would surprise me.

I don't even have to read the article to be able to say with 100% confidence that the numbers are completely subjective rubbish.

This in no way is mean as a defensive statement.

I don't agree with you totally on this one, but there is no doubt that any survey can be slanted in either direction.

Sorry! I totally can't force you to look up the word "subjective". Whatever numbers he uses to get his measurement, the outcome will still be subjective. You can't make subjective, objective. No more than you can make a Man a Woman (unless you are F'd up). He either doesn't understand this or is simply is more interested in selling the pod index.
