Vitali scores a slapdown at the end of round 2.
Kind of a bullshit stoppage, they didn't even give Charr's corner a chance to work on the cut, Charr understandably pissed. In any event 4th round TKO for Dr. Ironfist.![]()

Wow!!! DeMarco made quick work of Molina.
I think the ref should have just counted that as a knockdown since the ropes where holding Molina up, and given him the chance to go on.

Well that was quick, De Marco stops Molina in the 1st round. Another questionable stoppage, weird night.

Why does nick cannon keeps yelling during the announcement? I have to keep muting the tv. God Damn
I agree that both fights had quick stoppages. I don't think the outcome would have been different but its not right to take away their chance.

Demarco had him zeroed but I would have called that "KD" and issue count...Holyfield v Cooper esque. But good for Demarco!!

Ringside report: we got here just in time for that 30-second fight, though my wife missed it standing in the bar line.
Lampley 15 yards away having his face powdered and then screaming like a prima donna at some production assistant.

Wow, Dawson will outweigh Ward by 10 lbs in the ring. What I expected from how they looked in the weigh-in pix.
Do you know why the crowd was booing during the pre fight talk?
Oh cool Shane is there in the ring.

After Matthysse-Olesegun I want to see a good fight here also!
Dawson already has a cut from a SOG headbutt, nice.

I was at the fight, just got back actually. That was because they introduced celebrities ringside and Matt Kemp (a Dodger in Giants territory) and Metta World Peace (a Laker in the same building the Warriors play in) were at ringside. It wasn't Jamarcus Russel again lol.
Anyways, awesome display by Ward. He culd not miss with the left hand, he absolutely took Chad's manhood away from him. This is the 7th Ward fight I've been to and there was a DEFINITE nervous energy among the crowd. Seeing them next to each other, Chad was sooooo much bigger. He's taller, lankier with broader, more filled out shoulders. I think he was intimidated coming in though, he took no risks and he tried to play nice with a crowd where everyone hated him. It was a real Oakland crowd though, it was more like a rap concert honestly and I might be contact high (no lie lol.)
He couldn't miss with the left hook, Dawson was so much bigger but didn't try to muscle him out of the clinch at all! Ward looked tentative in the first and early in the second in the clinches but Chad didn't seem to even have the desire to impose his will. He completely abandoned the jab and could not for the life of him stop that short little left hook of Ward's.
Good stuff, it's really cool to have big time boxing in the Bay Area and even though there were more empty seats then I expected (they sold tickets to the entire top deck which they normally don't do), it was a decently electric atmosphere. Who beats Ward now? I don't see anyone doing the job.
God Damn...good thing I didst listen to dwyer. If all goes to plan I'm gonna make my gas money for the month
