I think dirrel would be interesting to see how ward deals with that style. Ward should win in the end but i would like to see it.
Some might say ward is boring but he comes across very well and he has a great team behind him and is definately p4p number 2 behind floyd.
I don't really know how Ward jumped up to Dawson. Seems like he is ducking Dirrell. The "Andre's" fight is thee most obvious fight out there- more obvious than Pacman and Mayweather.

I thought Larry Merchant was going to press the question last night about the possibilities, but he didn't.
How on earth did you come to that conclusion? What has Direll done in the past few years? Nothing but beat a journeyman in his comeback fight. I doubt Ward's name is even on Dirells lips. A shame, I'd like to see what Direll can do because he has great skill. Just don't know whether that Abraham incident took something away from him mentally. I was very impressed with him vs Froch, Abraham and his comeback fight. He could be a p4p if his head is still right..but Ward is not ducking him, don't be silly.

Whether it was due to the weight or Chad's mental focus...or heck, maybe Ward just is THAT good. Either way he put on a pretty exciting clinic last night and I have by no means been his biggest advocate.
Sorry if he was gold dipped, ugly is ugly I NO WHAT I LIKE, shit with sugar on is not to my taste.
Very ironic coming from a Calzaghe fan to say you don't like ugly fighting styles but whatever
The best super middle, there has ever been, O I forgot he stepped up to light HW as well , I can't recall any one coming down in weight to face him. CAN YOU.!

    Lol
Cazaghe fans are the most blinded fans ever. I give props to every fighter even pac, but lets not talk about fighting two legends out of prime and then not giving one a rematch who arguably beat him.

Always remember, roy jones junior beats jc 10 out 10 prime for prime and so does glen johnson..lol

well, when a fighter says he can make 168, then why not say lets fight at 168.

Come on now, Dawson was very weak but he was a fool fighting at 168, be honest.!

Ward deserves all the respect we can give him. He took the fight Dawson wanted and whipped his ass! Dawson said he made weight without a problem and that he felt good at 168. Dawson looked like a beaten fighter after the first knockdown.

I would expect Ward to put on a similar performance vs Dawson at 175. The weight drop didn't seem to be the issue - it looked like a pure difference in skill. Ward just controlled him.

Dirrell was in the Super 6, even though he quit before the end of the series. Ward has alot of fights between 168 and 154 he can surely take. Dirrell, rematch Abraham, go back again with Kessler, even fight a very exposed Lucian Bute. Heck, even a Hopkins fight can be a good thing.

But, he should fight Dirrell. Alls I'm saying is that there was no need to take the Dawson fight, especially for Dawson- hime having to come down in weight!

Dirrell is the best out of a weak crop of options, although I agree with Rocco that Dirrell hasn't done anything to deserve it. Maybe he takes care of a mandatory in Oakland while Dirrell beats someone of note, and they build the fight a bit.

Andre Ward v Andre Dirrell would be the least entertaining fight in the history of the sport
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend

I don't buy that ward had a broken hand! Ppl go on about Ward as if he has discovered relativity theory of the sweet science or summat!

Ward NEVER fights outside the US.You see what happens to fighters like Bute if they leave homesoil!!

For sure Froch would give him by far more problems in Nottingham, no doubt about that. I mean who is dawson @ 168? Bute would have beaten that version! It's not like dawaons a pressure fighter is it!

Id like to see pascal v ward.

Bloody hell. No one said ward is the next roy jones or second coming. He just happens to be winning and winning well. Give the guy some props!

    Dawson wanted this!
Dawson is taller, bigger, longer reach, more pro experience, southpaw and comfy at the weight..

Update: Andre Ward said recently in an interview that Andre Dirrell has not earned a fight with him and needs a few more wins before he even gets on his radar. Where does Ward go next?
