This fight was awesome - Mad respect to both guys and I can see Olusegun picking up a title at 140 if ever given another opportunity..which I doubt.

It made me think, what does Khan do from here? He gets knocked into the middle of next week by Matthyse imo and if he goes to welter, he'll be eaten up by the sharks. 154? No chance. He's a fringe contender at all of those weights at best.

everyone LM hits ends up going down. Just a question of how long they stay up. If the boxing gods were honest he would still be undefeated as he should have gotten decisions against Judah and Alexander.

I am not much for fighters that crash press conferences, etc..., but LM should go to the Garcia vs Morales II post fight and call Garcia out. Let Garcia's dad start coming up with bullshit excuses why he shouldn't fight LM.

Ajose was impressive as a guy can be in such a beatdown. Alot of respect for him.

It's been a long time comin' for Matthysse. He had to WORK to get where he is now, a true champion. Matthysse had it won ever since the first crunch of his knuckles on Ajose's face. However, I gotta be honest, after Matthysse wobbled Ajose the first time I said to myself, "he's done, he's gonna get swarmed." He recovers, after the second one, I said to myself, "alright, he legs should be shot by now," he recovers, fires BACK even. The 3rd time and thereafter, I started to really root for both of them. I wanted Matthysse to win more because he's just the better fighter, but I also wanted Ajose to win because if he did, he would have definitely deserved it.

I had no idea about Ajose before this fight, now I'm a big fan. Cheers to the victor and major props for the contender.

If it weren't for Andre Ward's clinical and brilliant destruction of Chad Dawson then Lucas Matthysse would have stolen the night completely !

Awesome, calculated, stoic, ferocious assault by Matthysse. It is refreshing to see such a devastating power puncher throw combinations instead of the single shot AND use his boxing skills and brain.

For me Matthysse is the #2 man at 140 right now. I only rate Tim Bradley above him and I think Matthysse has a damn good shot of whippin him.

Also Ajose Oleguson is one the toughest men I've ever seen. His ability to withstand punishment is up there with Rocky Juaurez against JMM.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Tim almost always manages to pull out a win some way, but fuck im not sure id bet against matthyse. Lucas is a good boxer, with a seemingly iron chin, okayish defense and dynamite in his hands and if he starts fights the way he has his last 2 im not sure anyone sees the final bell. And as ya said he doesnt fight like a fighter who knows he can change it all with one punch he fights like a dude without a punch in a way

Bradley is at 147 now. Maidana would be a clear choice for an opponent. How about Matthysse against JMM at 140?

Lucas was relentless the whole fight, he just kept walking Olusegun down and pounding him with power punches. It must have been unnerving for Olusegun seeing Matthysse walk though his punches with a smile on his face, Lucas was obviously enjoying himself.
