[QUOTE=ICB;1103648][QUOTE=Dark Lord Al;1103631]Who did Tyson beat who was in his prime , great chin , and big puncher ?
Tyson fans please tell us ?
He fought everyone in his era did he not?
Can't really blame him for who was about at the time
Hence the point if this thread
That was one of the best potential fights of the 90's! Very evenly matched fighters (tua has a slightly bigger frame though) problem with tyson was he never did anything in the 90's really..I wish we would have had i.e holy v tua, tyson v ike etc!
When holyfield put on a few lbs of muscle he was able to bully tyson, what would a 235lb tua do? Tyson got frustrated easily too and was kayoed and even rocked by men who didn't remotely have tua's power. Tua was avoided like hell!
Tua also had a granite chin which was something tyson lacked. The obvious pick would be Tyson. Tua has never held the title. But, after studying these two for a while, I'm not so sure.
They are very similar so the logical thing to do is look at their differences. Tyson has fast hands but poor stamina. He fades after 6 rounds and, depending on his opponent, he MIGHT do well after that. Tua is too patient and has average hand speed but he goes into the late rounds with a good reserve of energy.
Naturally, if Tua could extend Tyson into the later rounds he could win. The question now remains if Tua can survive Tyson's early assult and take his punch. Tua has never been knocked down or out (until recently) and he has only been shaken by monster puncher Ike Ibeabuchi, who is one of the most monstrous fighters in the last 20 years and that was an even fight.
I believe Tua would survive Tyson's early assult. He's too lazy for anyone to believe he could overcome a raging Dynamo like Tyson. However, it's not hard to believe that Tua could survive Tyson early. He would likely be motivated for Tyson, unlike for many of his other opponents.
I don't see Tyson finishing Tua early. He took the best that Ike Ibeabuchi had to offer and I think Ike is every bit as tough as Tyson.
If David is motivated, he would be able to survive early Tyson. Now the question is if Tyson can survive late David. What I do see is Tyson's tank running empty before the final bell. Tua has not shown that tendacy.
Given that, I'll go out on the limb and make my pick.
Tua by TKO in 11.

Are you for real?
I would have highlighted all the shit but itd take ages.
Tua had a bigger frame? He was even smaller than Tyson! Just fatter!
As for Tyson not having as good a chin as Tua.....
Mike had no stamina! For fuck sakes... Even when getting stopped by Holyfield when he wasnt the same fighter that train right in the eighties and after being out for 4 years he was still there swining hard in the 11th! Against Douglas when he was hardly training at all and getting dropped hy sparring partners he was still fighting hard in the 10th.
Tyson has an amazing combination of some of the very best attributes youd want in a fighter and this is against all the fighters in history. His speed, footwork, head movement, defence, chin, power and agression are all among the best ever.
Tua was a fat lump that could cover up and throw left hooks and thats it. He never even wan a title and was never anything.
Tua is exactly what all Tysons opponents are not, except Holyfield. He stays low, he didn't throw any 'stinging Jabs' and he knows what to do on the inside. There will be nothing to counter on going in and Tua wont let him square up and start the combos. I mean it will be ugly fight if Tyson clinches and he will get frustrated or it will be Tua game on the inside.

I just cant fucking believe what im reading!
Tua who never wan a title who got humiliated by Byrd but is being favoured to beat a hall of famer top ten of all time heavyweight champ!
Yes.Are you for real?
Go ahead.I would have highlighted all the shit but itd take ages.
Tua had a bigger frame? He was even smaller than Tyson! Just fatter!
Both 5'10. Tysons prime weight was on average about 220, Tua's was about 230. The only fight in which tua was a fat lump in his prime was vs lews! What the hell he was thinking coming in at 245 in his biggest ever fight i dont know! Let's be real though, even that tua had lewis back peddling for 12 rounds, lewis walked through tyson with consumate ease! Tua doesn't look any smaller than tyson to me...
He didn't need a hug too.
I think these 2 proved that:As for Tyson not having as good a chin as Tua.....
See:
I stand by what i said.Mike had no stamina!
Yet he struggled against donovan ruddock and buster douglas, even bummy botha was outboxing him LOL.Tyson has an amazing combination of some of the very best attributes youd want in a fighter and this is against all the fighters in history. His speed, footwork, head movement, defence, chin, power and agression are all among the best ever.
Avoided fighter. That's clear...Tua was a fat lump that could cover up and throw left hooks and thats it. He never even wan a title and was never anything.
Even tua's not title winning expolits are on a par with the coke fuelled, dong king bums tyson rolled over to become linear champ!

Tua is only 5,9" and strip the fat off him and he wouldnt weigh a great deal over 210lb. When Tua turned pro he was 20 and only weighed 200lb, when Mike turned pro he was only 19 but weighed 214lb and was ripped! Yeah, Tua has the naturally bigger frame...Hes just a lazy fat lard arse.
He had 2 title shots against 2 champs, thats hardly being avoided. Both thse performances were shite. He didnt put the champs in any sort of danger or even win a round. Even the faded old Tyson wan a round against Lewis
He had his chances and blew them in boring fashion. He wasnt avoided, he just couldnt put a show on to become an attractive opponent to put on tv. Unless his opponent just stood in front of him, Tua had nothing.
Tyson has faced much bigger punchers than Tua has and world class fighters, rather than the roll call of fringe bums that Tua plodded along with. Tua would have done no better with the Holmes that Tyson faced than what Butterbean did with the ancient version
Thats because you dont know any better

tua wasnt good on hıs feet---tyson WAS. tyson got angles and punches from all dırtectıons. tua'!s arsenal was a sımple left hook and straıght rıoght.
Like who? LOL.Tyson has faced much bigger punchers than Tua
Frank bruno and donovan ruddock? LOL. Even then he was matched punch for punch v donovan and was rocked by average bruno! Prime Rahman would have kayoed both of those! Moorer outboxes the holmes tyson fought!has and world class fighters, rather than the roll call of fringe bums that Tua plodded along with
He would have brutalised him, u r beng silly now! Holmes had 4 weeks to train and was in retirement! Tyson fans are insane! The fact that u have to mention a 40yr old holmes shows how shit his resume is!Tua would have done no better with the Holmes that Tyson faced
I know that u r an average thinker!Thats because you dont know any better
Could tyson go life n death with ibeaubuchi! I can only imagine what ike would have done to bruno, douglas and ruddock!

If it's a prime Tyson, no offense to Tua but he's getting steam rolled inside of 4. Tua was a very hard pucher but Tyson was perhaps hitting harder plus he was faster, more dynamic and his 2-3-4 combos were just devastating. There is no way Tua could have better than "from slim to none" chances in that one.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
I'd take Tyson on points curiously enough.
I know we're talking about 2 huge punchers here, but they both had excellent chins.
I think Tyson's greater handspeed, head movement & punch combinations would seal it, as Tua was a bit over reliant on his Left hook.
