Exceptional fighter yes but clearly a cherry picker. Bryd would have been an interesting fight @ HW rather than Ruiz who was taylor made for a style like jones'...So Sorry but if he had of fought all of the above he would have been beaten sooner IMO. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise no matter how much u idolise him!
Lots of accusations there with little or no evidence to support them? I guess some of the scoffing is due to how many from the extreme hater support group go on about claims against him. Claims are not facts.

People forget what Jones was like at 160 and 168 because he never stayed all that long.
It was as if the man came from a different planet. I call it the third eye syndrome. Barry Sanders had it and so did Gretzky and Jordon. Jones had one of the best jabs in boxing at the time and never even needed to use it. That’s insane. The only time he even showed it was when he toyed with Vinny. Thats how good he was. He never needed the most fundamental punch in the sport. Oh and I'll be the first to say that when the wheels fell off the really fell off and that showed immediately to me right after Ruiz. And btw if Ruiz was hand picked and tailor made for Roy then what was Maher against Fitzsimmons? That other x mid that won hev tin. Roy was not going to fight Lewis.

Your assertions generally read like dogma and not debate. Its clear you don't like him.

Dariusz 175. He was as unwilling to travel to the States to fight Jones as Jones was to travel to Germany. Simple as that. Michalczewski would have thought he was fighting a crowd. Jones by dissection.

Eubank.168 Nah Chris was ending his career at 168 when Jones was fully entrenched at 175. Look at the calendar. He also could have made the trip when they were at the same weight. Takes two.

Liles. 168. Again he was getting knocked out by Mitchell and fighting his second last fight in 1999 at 168. Jones was already at 175 for three years having smoked the body snatcher and demolished Griffin twice along with a body shot ending of Hill that made my own bones crack.

Nunn.168 Busted for coke in 2002. He lost to Liles and the wrecker Steve Little and is one of the most overrated fighters in boxing history because of Toney. Like Jones would allow him to set up. Jones by slaughter.

Calzaghe 168. Another classic. Give me the year that a prime 168 Calzaghe could have met a prime 168 Jones? If it was mathematically possible, again I see Jones by ud and imo the only man that could have beaten Joe at that weight in modern times.

McClellan 168. Again I suppose this fight could have happened in the early 90’s at 160 but Gerald would not have been on Roy’s radar and he was rapidly leaving the division after Hopkins and would have also been whipping Toney at the same time at 168. Although Gerald fought a few times early in his career, he never did anything there and when he did jump up to face Benn he was retired. There was simply no reason for Jones to even entertain that fight.

Benn 160/168.Could have happened I suppose at either weight as both men were moving along and up to 168 at around the same time however once again and just as was the case with Eubank and Dariusz neither party was keen on going to the others backyard. As tough and hard as Nigel was, I just don’t see that fight going well for him and perhaps they knew it.

Collins 168. That’s actually a fight I really wanted to see. Trouble is if I remember correctly it never even came up outside of some announcers and once again neither would have wanted to travel imo. Just cant see him winning.

Its worth noting that the same issue, (travel) prevents all kinds of fights from happening today. Everybody is worried about getting jobbed in another country.

Rochigianni 168/175. Not even in Roy’s league and another guy like the one who follows him on your list who never fought outside of Germany. Roy would have toyed with him.

Maske 175. Oh sure he went undefeated beating Graciano twice but who else did he fight? When he finally stepped up and fought Virgil Hill he lost and then retired. Speed kills and just like Dariusz, Henry would have thought he was fighting more then one guy.

Jirov? At what weight and when?

Jackson. This must have been your attempt at comedy. A career Jr middle who was not the same fighter at 160 and again Jones was long gone up in weight at a time when they could have possibly met. Jackson would have had no chance against Roy at 160.

Where Jones is concerned its one of these classic scenarios where he is being viewed today as if that was him back then. His last mistakes are being compounded with interest.

Who do I think could have beaten Jones?

    160. Maybe Greb, Burley, Langford or Robinson. Modern day? Perhaps the Leonard that beat Hagler.
    168. Same 4 and yes I know none of them actually campaigned at that weight officially. I'd also add a young Ezzard Charles. Modern day? I think Joe if the timing was on would have been a tough fight and Chris as well. Steves grit could have also proved interesting.
    175. Charles and Spinks and that's about it.
