Ha....you're alright! We had our beef early on but you're a solid dude. Once I make it to Jolly Old England I'm buying you a drink! By the way, one of my favorite American players played for your club, granted that was at the time he was injured and sucking it up pretty bad, but still there was a time I pulled for one of your players on purpose though you lot were probably happy to see the backside of him. Kenny Cooper.
Cooper was a terrible signing for us just at the point when everything started to go tits up. He was just coming back from a knee injury so it may not have been a true reflection of his talent, but the welcoming, if not a little ironic chants of U.S.A that greeted his arrival soon became far less complimentary. We were being ripped off by clueless directors and our relegation and the rapid collapse from a Premiership playoff place in the Championship, down through the leagues and into administration swiftly followed. He struck up a great partnership with Thierry Henry at the New York Red Bulls though. If you do ever make it over you may find England not so Jolly any morebut you could do worse than coming to the westcountry and here in Plymouth were the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from the Mayflower steps. Lots of history on the historic Elizabethan Barbican and in stone age circles in Cornwall etc. Some friends have great bands too and can probably keep up better with drinking than I could. You would love it.
Yea, ol' Kenny left the MLS and rode the pine at 1860 Munich and then was injured knee & ankle at Plymouth. I had high hopes for the guy because as you can see now he can score, but of course he's playing with Henry which doesn't hurt but at FC Dallas he did well on his own 90 appearances and 40 goals.
Shame he didn't work for you guys, but you had other troubles....but for a while I was pulling for yall
I present you the boobs of Miss Olivia Wilde![]()
