I think Devon will upset the apple cart and I don’t think Khan should make a win by Brook the basis for a fight with him. He’s in no position to make those demands and is fast becoming an underachiever himself.

The problem for Kell against Devon is that he will be fighting a guy that’s as fast as he is and so far Kell has gotten away with stepping straight back with his lead hand down but his opponents thus far have not been able to cash in on that because they were not fast enough. Another factor to consider is the venue, I believe it will be at Madison Square Garden which may or may not affect Kell upstairs. If Kell does win he might tell Khan to take a hike or beat someone and fight his optional to which he would be entitled to do.
Have you seen Alexander fight recently? He's a gun-shy spoiler. His speed only helps him clinch faster.

Brook is a big, strong, hard punching natural welterweight. Alexander looked lost against Bradley, and was bullied by Mathysse (who won that fight). He was terrified against the master of mediocrity Bailley. If he clinches as often as he usually does Brook will throw him around like a rag doll.
Brook's left hand is low...so what? Against a southpaw it is very often the best way of fighting, especially given Alexander's money shot straight left/left uppercut will be way off the mark as Brook steps back with his right hand guard up.
Yes I have followed his career and he destroyed Maidana and looks like a different fighter so far at 147. As far as being gun shy, he's only had 2 fights at 147 and his last was against one of the biggest punchers of this era. Of course he was gun shy and of course he would clinch.

He outclassed Maidana, who was very poor on the night, but that is not the point.

Bailey is a puncher, yes, but he was way past his best and at his best was nothing special. Watch Cotto maul a younger, better Bailey and see how he should be handled, but again, not the point.

The point is, as you say, that Alexander has only had two fights at welterweight...Against two 140lb standouts with little or no pedigree at 147lbs. Brook is younger, bigger, faster, technically better and I will argue he hits harder too. He is a natural welter, and couldn't have made 140lbs without cutting off a leg.

If Alexander clinches to the degree he gets docked points against Bailey, he'll be clinging on like a fucking koala bear against Brook.

We will see and I'll stick to my original point that Brook steps straight back with his lead hand down and Devon will cash in on that.
