It is damaging to Golden Boy.
What boxing needs more of is transparency with regard to drug testing. I don't know what's worse, Top Rank refusing to take a stance on the issue, or Golden Boy's shady stance on the issue? Have the British promoters come out with opinions on drug testing in boxing?
Has Floyd Mayweather come out with an opinion on Golden Boy's relationship with USADA? Has he come out against their actions in the Morales situation? With regard to Mayweather, if what the article alleges is true, primarily that USADA and Golden Boy have a relationship such that if a boxer tests positive, those tests won't be revealed, than isn't the testing futile?
It should be noted that so far the only boxer, including Mayweather, that adheres to strict year-round testing is Nonito Donaire.
