Might of been Flintoff
Same point
This would make for an interesting fight. Fury can take a punch and go 12. Price is a hard hitter but not sure he can go the distance. I'd like Price to go the distance aganst a solid hard puncher the full distance. To see how well he takes a hard punch to the chin and if he can last 12 rounds.
Until then i'm reserving judgement.
You fanboys are making me hate Price.
The reason Price hasn't gone the distance has a lot to do with the fact that he has great stopping power. He stopped Audley in less time than it took Haye, McDermott with none of the trouble that Fury took, those are hardly negatives. There is nothing to suggest his fitness would prevent him going 12 rounds and people going on about his chin because of one amateur fight years ago is getting a bit desperate now.

That maybe true but until he goes the distance i ain't changing my mind. There is nothing to suggest that he will go the distance aswell. It can go either way! Unless you know something we don't all know? Like your his coach?
Like Inuit said. If you ain't got the gass you ain't punching hard!
Don't get me wrong these are only criticisms. I'm not being negative. Price comes across well in interviews. I don't dislike the fighter. He does have good stopping power. I do like the guy. But i ain't no fan boy. I keep a level head when watching a fight. But Audley. That was just a pay cheque. How did that test him atall. He needs an opponent that tests him. An ideal fight prime Vs prime Mike Tyson Vs David Price. Or an Even prime Foreman. See who has the greatest power.

The issue that concerns me the most about team Fury is their reluctance to entertain a fight with Price. Forget the discussions about who they have fought, because history has shown that is no barometer for a future encounter.
I like Fury, and he's taken some good, testing fights thus far, but if he is serious about facing Vitali or Wlad next year he needs to step up in class in a huge way in the future. Whilst people carp on about the likes of Chisora and Johnson as decent opponents, they are missing the point that however good they are in their own right, their fighting style is about as far removed from a brother K as it is possible to get.
Fury has made a name fighting smaller, lethargic heavies who are not too heavy handed. In Vitali he has a busy power puncher of comparable size.
What could Fury do to prepare? Find a technically adept, tall, rangy, power punching boxer who will be busy enough to push him. I can't think of any current heavyweight that would be better preparation than Price, which is why it baffles me that team Fury aren't chasing this to the ends of the earth.
Fury needs Price.
Fury vacated rather than face Price because of what Price did to John McDermott. Price demolished him in 1 when Fury struggled twice. Tyson is probably the more skilled of the 2 but if Price landed he'd be counting stars.
Just fight. Fuck the lollygagging.
