There are links all over the internet that contradict what both camps have said. If you believe any one of them, then you'll love these magic beans I'm selling...
Price didn't have jittery moments when Skelton came forward, apart from in the eyes of the uninitiated and the poisonously biased. Still, at least Skelton came forward, unlike Johnson.
I don't want to criticise Fury for the Johnson fight, because last minute opponents are hard to find, but I'm confused how anybody can be impressed by a landslide victory over an opponent who doesn't fight back and whose sole claim to fame is he went 12 rounds with the champ years ago and didn't get knocked out whilst throwing no punches then either.
Price is moving equally slowly. He's still fighting at the British domestic level.
It's my primary criticism of the heavyweight division. There are just a lot of good fights to be made that do not include the KBros, but aren't made because it makes more financial sense for a top fighter to lie in wait until a title challenge with the Kbros opens up. By the way, it makes perfect sense for careers; I'm just a boxing fan, and I would love to see guys like Fury and Arreola mix it up.
Recently, Pulev beat Dimitrenko, Adamek beat Chambers and Arreola is set to face Stiverne, but who else of the top ten/fifteen is facing each other?
I recall that Fury wanted a fight with Boystov, which is the exact kind of fight I would be excited to see.
So turning down a mandatory title defence with Price and vacating his titles to Duck him, because he was planning to take this so called different path, vindicates Tyson from running??
Price is actually fighting the level of opponent he should be at this point of his progression, taking on domestic opponents and at the time he was made the mandatory for the British title that was also his next progressive step....but Fury simply bottled it....you can say what you like but the real facts are that Fury refused to take the fight with Price because he didn't fancy it, he lacked confidence!
I don't think Fury is the sort of man that lacks confidence.

doesnt matter if fury is confident or not , he doesnt last 2 rounds with price.
Price is cleaning up the UK division, he's not clambering for titles just for the sake of it, Irish belts or random EU ones.
Not many UK heavies for him to fight now, Haye would never do it, He'll beat Chisora next year.
I think Price hits too hard for Fury, some of these guys he's knocking out are durable fighters, he's making it look too easy.
You can see Fury has more experience, just by the way he fights now compared to before. He's getting better technically and his journey has been paced well, including that weird fight against Rogan he fought southpaw.
I think his experience might get him through 3 rounds and land a few, but based on only about 3 shots I've seen Price take flush, I think he will take Furys punches and land bigger ones.
I would much rather Price vacated the British title, and not fought dross like a 45 year old Skelton, and a gun shy Fraudley.
So much talk of meaningless titles, if they are you mandatory defenses.
The British title is hardly meaningless just because Fury did not value it is no reason to criticise Price for giving it the respect it is due. In many ways the belt and title is the most meaningful a British fighter can hold. To win the most beautiful belt out there outright is a perfectly valid and respectable thing to do.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
