Can't believe I missed the fight. I thought it was going be another controversial decision. That's boxing for ya. Always the unexpected. Congrats to JMM, what a warrior.
I know man, I thought Gesta would have a big night for sure but stank up the place.
Hey thanks, I appreciate that comment. I thought I would kill myself if I ever see pac get put to sleep like that but actually I'm kinda relieve there is a conclusive ending thanks to marquez.
Just watched the fight on youtube. Seems like Pacquiao reverted to trying to jab jab left hand his way to Marquez.
Actually that final shot he got knocked out on, Pacquiao tried to jab, jab with his hands down and Marquez predicted the left hand was coming and threw a right full force that caught and knocked out Pacquiao.
The first knocked down happened with Marquez always making Pacquiao drop his left hand when he jabs. marquez jabbed and Pacquiao backed up with his left hand down and Marquez swung over the top and caught Pacquiao. Which he has done many times before but this one was hard enough to drop him though he's been catching Pacquiao with that shot since fight one.
I thought he was going to get shafted because of a possible date with Mayweather and I share the joy even though I haven't seen it yet as I was unable to get off work early enough to see it. I'll have to wait for the rebroadcast but congratulations Juan the others were close but I believe you won them too. There is such a thing as justice.
I like both Pac AND Marquez. No hate for either of them. I'm happy Marquez finally got his win, and in emphatic fashion. No controversial decision this time. The fight was good while it lasted, with each man getting dropped.
I'd come from a Creed concert with my bro, and was able to get to a local sports bar in time to watch the Gamboa fight from Round 2. People in the sports bar were evenly divided between Pac and Marquez, but all hoping for a decisive conclusion finally. And man... did we ever get one. It was strange seeing Pac get KTFO'ed in a similar fashion as he had done to Hatton years earlier. I think Pac should definitely retire, given his decreasing trajectory as of late.
