Well I just made a grand off that fight and I've yet to watch it. God damn it now I gotta wait two weeks before they show it again on HBO.

Not only did JMM KTFO of Pac he KTFO out of the white non boxing background HBO broadcasters that have totally disrepected JMM the previous three fights by not announcing JMM punches /body shots. It was hilarious to see them speechless at the end of this fight. They could have highlighted JMM's feat instead they still ran over to get Pac's perspective. Seems only Roy Jones was willing to credit JMM . Pac hugging ...... RIP . It was a good run but the Mexicans have their sport back !

End of an era indeed. Ever since Pacquiao brought up leg cramps a year or so ago I knew his explosiveness was done and when an athletic fighters legs are gone they go the way of RJJ. Rapid disgusting decline.
Well my favourite mexican of this generation won and I'm happy but I never blamed Pacqiuao for getting the nod the first three fights, they were competitive after all. Time for him to hang it up after all he's no doubt an all time great, a hero of a nation and one hell of a fighter. Also JMM..god damn I bow before you.
Pacquiao has been done for the past 12 months, this is the clincher. He should retire before some bum beats him. Marquez was never going to lose this fight and it's a decisive win. Pacman is through.
I thought the fight could have been stopped later on if it continued due to JuanMa's broken nose or JuanMa could have rested for a round or two and continued to box smart but Manny wanted to steal the round with the last 10 seconds of each round and he got carelss and opened himself for a counterpunch right that destroyed that chin. Manny didn't even put his hands in front of him as he went down face first. All we heard was a big KABOOM!
Having rewatched it, Marquez was better than I initially thought. Manny Pac always scares to death with his movement and quite frankly Marquez is a far cooler customer than most of us watching him fight. I watched it live as just pure nerves. On rewatching you can sit down calm knowing that you've seen the moves all before.
I score it.
Round 1 - Pac 10-9
Round 2 - Pac 10-9
Round 3 - Marquez 10-8
Round 4 - Marquez 10-9
Round 5 - Pac 10-9
Round 6 - Fight ends by
Manny wanted to please, got sloppy and ultimately that led to him making a fatal mistake and you cannot do that with Marquez. It really was stupid of Pac to go mental at the end of the round like that. There was no need. Just kamikaze and the kind of thing we chided Hatton for doing.
Shocked at this news. Pac Man is finished no need for any further fights.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
People are talking about Marquez retiring, I hope Manny lays the gloves down.
I want to see it glorious 1080pI want to see my favourite tactician land that punch and hear it with my surround sound. I can wait two weeks for that

Almost 4 years ago, I made this post elsewhere (and all the best posters such as myself caught the bant there in late 2010):

Every fighter has some aspect of their game that can be exploited by their opponent.
For instance, southpaw Pacquiao drops his left hand when he fires his right jab.
An orthodox fighter could time that jab, slip outside, hit-on-the-slip with a right hand counter thrown straight at Manny's open chin or maybe even a rear hand right hook.
Manny's fast though and his right jab is hard. Mess up the slip, and the opponent'll eat a jarring, very sharp right jab rearranging his face a bit.
Hah, looks easy, but would be pretty damn difficult to actually execute against a quick, ball of energy like Pacquiao.

Throw a straight right against a southpaw? You are a boxing genius!
