It is strange how the moon doesnt revolve like all other satellites and planets.
The dark side of the moon the sidee that never faces us would be without the effect of Earths gravity or Earths hold on us in other ways.
Could be a big key to a faster escape that one. Materially speaking; if we built rockets there and released them from there who knows what speeds we could reach or what "Human perceived barriers" we could pass through.

definitely. I always wondered about farming on the moon in great greenhouses reaching the sky. In 1969 they made it to the moon in 6 days 23 hours I believe. These days they could halve the time. You could go to the ,oon, packup tons of veggies and fruits in the greenhouses, shrink wrap them and send them on their merry way to land in the ocean by parachute. Cheap transport as no fuel is needed in outer space after the initial blast off from the moon, due to inertia and weightlessness.

We got enough problems here on earth, methink spending billions or trillions on space program is utter waste of money when it could be put to better use here on our sinking earth... unless they can find a place where we earthlings can move into...

If you have zero gravity when you start off and if you take off from the side that never faces Earth, you are covered even more from Earths gravity so if you built a space station there, and shoot away from Earth (it isnt distance we are talking about although as you say there is a little bit saved). You would save on 95% of the fuel and size of the craft you would have make; cause it takes the most energy to get off from the Earths gravity. Initial time that would be saved as you say is minimal with distance but thats a very small part. There is a big chance we could break a few speed barriers and more time barriers, using the fuel we would have used getting off the Earth instead for more speed getting off the Moon in zero gavity.

There is no point unless you are travelling fast and far!
Any other reason is wated time! It's all about landing on random planets that look like earth! Do it or don't! I'd do it before the earth kills itself!

Take a big ship and start families on it and just breed and breed whilst travelling lifetimes through space! Take billions of rasions etc
