Froch contemplating Steveson defence

I can see why Froch would fight him to keep a belt he has worked hard to capture and it is a mandatory and it will keep him active in anticipation for the bigger fights. However if this guy is too tough then it would be wiser for Froch just to vacate it for the Kessler/Bute/Abraham fights instead.

Master, if he's too tough then Froch shouldn't be calling himself "Champion".

However, I don't think Stevenson is too tough for Froch, but he is a respectable and hungry opponent.

What I meant by that was that Froch is at the stage of his career where he needs to preserve himself for brutal fights that will make the most money. He will be willing to have brutal fights with Kessler and Bute but not with a mandatory.
