To go from Skelton and Harrison to this guy is a massive step for someone whos never had to face adversity. Thompson is a southpaw to boot!

Couldnt be bothered to watch the entire fight but looking at the first round of his rematch with Klitschko, hes going to give Price some big problems. When Thompson comes forward throwing his combinations Price is going to look like a complete novice. Iv seen that little bit of panic in his work a couple of times when Sexton and Skelton came to him. Neither is any sort of threat.

Will be worth a few quid betting that Price gets stopped early

I saw the fight. I don't disagree with you.

However I believe Price has as much right hand power as Klitschko. I also believe if Price does win, Fury fans will have to agree that Price has now faced the hardest opponent.

It's like DeGale and Groves, they constantly take over each other a fight at a time.

Possibly, id say they are on a par with each other. Id say that Chisora beats Thompson.

I reckon Maloney has taken this because of the criticism of the recent opponents, hes trying to match Furys progression but if I was Prices manager or promoter id be looking for someone a level below Thompson. Price is good and has skills and power but his chin is going to let him down. Fury has learnt the hard way against lesser opponents that he can overwhelm but Maloney hasnt been steadily increasing the level, in fact if anything over the past year its regressed. Price needs some unkown fighters to come over and test him.

He may well flatten Thompson early but I can see Thompson pressuring Price early and Price hasnt had to deal with a quality opponent yet. Even if Price wins I reckon there will be moments that raise even more questions about Prices future.

You're opinion of Price is far lower than mine, although it's your opinion and you're entitled to it, in fact I commend you for having it.

I feel the same about Fury, remember Fury has only slightly topped Price in opponents, and he has been dropped by someone who can't punch.

If we're both going to be honest, they'll likely both get stopped by any fighter that can swing like David Tua or V Klitschko.

Well fuck me gently with a chainsaw, I agree with ross. Not about Del boy beating Thompson, which is daft, but the rest is fairly accurate.

Thompson is tricky, quick, busy and has a decent punch from a very unorthodox southpaw stance (he's actually right handed, which makes his shot selection difficult for opponents). Add to that he's 6'5" tall with an equal reach to Price and a quick snapping jab and although I would tip Price to win this isn't an easy fight selection.
