Today excluding the hevs I’d have to go with Chocolatito. Opposite end of the spectrum.
All time that’s a tough one.
For me it’s between Jimmy Wilde and Sam Langford and as Al pointed out Jackson was also a freak. The three of them are further proof that punchers are born and not made. Langford was a blown up middleweight and has more ko’s then Tyson and Foreman combined. Wildes record is really w/o equal and that does not include the hundreds of tent fights he had knocking out guys three or 4 times his size wearing 4 oz gloves.
Vitali doesn nothit so hard---no harder by any means than say Razor Ruddock or somebody like that. KO% is def misleading--- a guy who has vicious combination punching can KO plenty of people but not hit so hard PER PUNCH.
PER PUNCH you'd HAVE to say Rocky Marciano, George Foreman, Earnie Shavers Im talking about in BOTH HANDS. Those guys could kill you with either hand. Dempsey hit pretty damned hard as well. Now that you mention it---Razor Ruddock hit pretty damned hard if you ask me.

P4P now I'd say it's Mattheysse. That guy has some sledgehammers in his gloves.
Historically...I dunno. Valero would be up there because of his 100% KO record but we never got to find out if he could do it at the very highest level.

I considered saying Deontay Wilder currently, but if I fought 26 turkeys I'd likely have 26(26)-0-0 also.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.

Wlad sure does take time to get the KO for such a big puncher. When you couple that with the huge size advantage he has over most opponents, P4P he wouldn't really be high on the list.
Tye Fields probably hits harder than Wlad, he's just not half as skillful.

3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
It's not as simple as KO percentage, rounds taken or people KO'd.
Style and accuracy play a big part. If you're an average puncher but you always hit the target then you'll get more KOs than a big hitter who just hits whatever he can.
I disagree
Watched some more of his fights (was painfully difficult to stay awake but mission accomplished) and seems to have a KILLER jab in terms of power. His straight right is also powerful.
The effect that some of his punches have on his opponent give you an idea of how hard he hits ...

I would have to agree with you on Chocolatito. That KO against Soto cannot be described as anything else but a thing of beauty.
Historically, well, that's hard for me because you have to consider different boxers, their era and the contexts of their fights. I'm gonna have to go with obvious and right in front of us, Iron Mike Tyson. I've been studying the boxing game for a while, new and old, not an expert by any stretch, but I know enough to make educated and calculated statements.
I'm going to have to go with Tyson historically and for all times.

Iron Mike is top 5 in power all time, in my opinion.
But I think he is the most devastating puncher of all time ... he could literally KO you with any punch in his repertoire ... and he had no problem throwing any kind of punch from any kind of angle ... and the combos he would throw were ungodly and had never existed before in the heavyweight division.
Combine that with the natural speed and power as well as the technique he would employ and you have the most devastating puncher of all time.
The uppercut he throws here MAY be the most powerful punch I've ever seen
Here it is at 11 minutes and 51 seconds
Same fight against Ribalta he rips a lightning fast combo at 33m and 30s
Possibly the best I've ever seen from a heavyweight
He was destroying people that super punchers like Foreman went 12 full rounds with ... and scraped by with a SD victory. Foreman beat Lou Savarese in a 12 round SD yet Tyson annihilated him with a single punch, through his guard:

Tyson had great technique which included speed, accuracy, timing and power. Raw power would be Bruno, Foreman and Rocky.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Forgot about Bruno ... he had major power ... I remember him stunning Tyson with a left hand and even steel chinned Oliver McCall felt this dudes hits
Heavyweight you have to go Foreman, Shavers and Tyson. In terms of raw power, it's hard not to go with George. He was knocking out young guns when he was in his mid to late 40s! But consensus says Shavers was the bigger puncher, according to guys who would know like Ali.
I think an underrated puncher is Merqui Sosa. James Toney said he was the hardest puncher he'd ever faced, and James has been in with some guys who can bang.

Power is the last thing that leaves you.
Foreman still had power at 43.
