I did link, its on our front page.
You should have titled that - Nothing Changes.
It's almost always rival promoters/TV companies that stop fights happening. It's very rare you learn of a fighter turning down a career high payday without their being more to the offer than let on (options?).
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Like Donaire Mares. You've got two guys on different networks (HBO, Showtime), different promoters (Arum, GBP), different sponsors (Corona, Tecate) and so on. The only way around it is to have one of their sanctioning bodies make the other guy the mandatory and let the fight go to purse bids but neither sanctioing body want to risk losing one of their big moneymakers.
Bunch of lazy arsesjust hit the front page. Good highlight on one of the biggest problems with the sport. I remember when Carbajal v Gonzalez came off with rival promotions...Arum...networks, sanctioning bodies and hoping it was a sign of good things to come. Shit, they even had to have seperate ring announcers
After all, the history it made and money it generated spoke volumes. If only!?
I do think Donaire and Mares will come off. Money talks and it has a little time to marinade. I can easily see Santa Cruz getting in the mix while we wait.
That is why throwing around PAC and Money as ATG's is a joke they have spent a decade out of not fighting the best but the best available with little threat and maximum rmarketing results . Also no one coming down the pipeline so that is why we have coddled questionable stars as Nonito, Canelo and Garcia
