Its tough to rate heavyweights in a P4P sense but Tyson is a few leagues above Floyd.
So is Roy.
Douglas beat a hungover Tyson who had a load of problems outside the ring and was on a diet of nothing but soup to try and get into fighting shape for the fight. He was about as unprepared as his corner ... those geniuses didn't even bring an enswell. Tyson hardly trained and didn't take Douglas seriously who trained like his life depended on it and was HIGHLY motivated. The stars aligned and Douglas pulled off the greatest upset in boxing history. Even with Tyson clearly losing he almost won with that monstrous uppercut in the 8th round that sent Douglas down. It was a fluke win and Douglas never took a rematch against Mike, who was furious over his performance and highly motivated afterwards to right his wrong. We all know that Douglas could never do that to a prime Tyson with Rooney or even a refocused Tyson. He didn't want to erase the mystique from that fight and prove that it was just a fluke so a rematch never happened.
Whats Floyd's excuse against Castillo? His resume at 130 to 135 is good but above that its garbage. He's nothing special. Yeah he has skill and talent but it doesn't compare to Tyson and RJJ. Pacquiao was the better fighter than Floyd in this current era. He's not even the best fighter of his own era. He fights C fighters own his own admission.
His resume is alright but his talent is behind RJJ and Mike Tyson who had an aura of invincibility around them. Tyson was destroying people effortlessly and RJJ would just toy with his competition and never seemed to lose a round.
