Proksa and Rosado would have given any of the top 160-pounders a challenge regardless of how highly u rate them! Golovkin beat down two experienced, in-their-prime, well-schooled fighters — fighters who came in to win, didn’t give up, but were beat up, bloodied, and stopped. Give the guy his dues...
Golovkin was lined up for Geale, but Geale went elsewhere (i.e. Mundine).
Golovkin was signed to fight Pirog, but Pirog pulled out with injury.
Golovkin called out Sturm for two years, and Sturm continually went elsewhere (up until Geale beat his ass).
And rumours are around the net that Quillin was soundly beaten up by Golovkin in the gym (the rumour is that Golovkin actually KO’ed him, which is VERY rare for sparring, but reports consistently state that Golovkin spars hard)… and in an interview with Quillin on ESB he didn’t deny it… he just vaguely sidestepped the question.
Yes he needs to fight better competition, but it’s THE COMPETITION that is avoiding him, not the other way around. Does anyone really think Geale would beat a 100% GGG? 2013 is GGG's year.
Can't wait to see Pirog back too.
Rosado had 5 losses, had never fought for a "world" title and never fought at middleweight.
Proksa had lost to powderpuff puncher Kerry Hope, had never fought for a "world" title and Darren Barker, a man that proved himself world-class with his effort against THE real middleweight champion, then slaughtered Hope in 4 rounds making the Proksa form look rubbish.
Even if everyone is "ducking" Golovkin, until he actually beats proven world-class fighters, he is nothing more than potential. That's it.
(a fighter signed to HBO has the backing to get top 10 fighters in the ring. Fact.)
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
