Default Brandon Rios - Mike Alvarado 2

I've seen on boxingscene that this fight has been confirmed. I loved the first fight, no doubt it was one of my favourites on 2012. It was an all out war that could have gone either way of Alvarado didn't get caught.

Who do you think will win the rematch? I think if Alvardo could make adjustments he could have a chance in the rematch, had a good start in the fight and he was constantly snapping Rios head back. These two threw so many punches, and a lot of them were scoring shots. Does anybody think Alvarado has a chance in the rematch or does anybody think he will get stopped again?

If I remember the stoppage was a tiny bit premature, but Rios was no doubt catching up to Alvarado in the end. Rios was looking for a Pacquiao showdown and this has fallen through now, Marquez isn't interested in a Rios showdown at the moment, as he is trying to secure the fifth fight in Mexico which will secure Marquez a large pay cheque if he is going to retire soon.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rios and Alvardo fight again but what i'd really like to see is Rios vs. that dick wipe Broner.

I think it's a likely fight in the future, but Broner said he's going to fight at 135 for a while because he can make the weight comfortably, he wants to clean up the division and he's still young. I don't see Rios going back to 135 as he struggles to make the weight and he needs to get in more fights and adjust properly to 140.

If ever a rematch is going to have the same result it's this one. Worth watching again though, you know what you're going to get.

Yeah I know that Rios is likely done at 135, but I doubt that Broner stays at 135 long, so maybe we could see this fight in the near future @140. I just like to see anybody flatten Broner, and sooner or later he'll have to move up in class face someone like Rios, Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, et al.

Good stuff. These two could wear blind folds and stand on seperate ends of a football field and still manage to find each other with clean shots.

I have a sneaking suspicion though that this one will be mostly one way traffic. Alvarado is a fine fighter but he probally did as good a job of boxing on his feet he could have hoped for and still got worn down. I do think Rios granite is showing some slippage and he is a soaking wet sponge but punch for punch I just see him getting to an Alvarado who will be thinking and pacing too much with the first fight in the back of his mind. If I'm wrong I hope to buy him a beer and shake the hand that knocked out that hyena howling shitheel Rios.

Rios may be a shitheel, but i'd love him if knocked that clown Broner into next week.
