Matthysse by KO after 5th.
I reckon nothing compares to seeing fights live @ ringside, but I just don't care much for crowds at sporting events. Give me my leather recliner, big screen HD TV, my computer & a fight thread at Saddos, a couple of cold brews, and i'm good to go.
Ditto. I watched Leonard/Hearns 1 in the closed circuit days at a hockey stadium and that was ok but during Tysons run I gave the bars a go largely because I was sick of paying 60 bucks for a minute or two of brutality. I grew out of that right quick. I will never go to a sports bar to watch a fight again.
I havn't been to a Sports Bar in over 20 + years, and when I went, i'd usually end up getting shitfaced and spending more on drinks/beer/food then I would have if i'd stayed home and bought the PPV.

Even with the crowds I hate at live events, if I could get good seats, I'd still like to see a great boxing card, in Vegas et al, a time or 2 before I check out. Part of the fun is seeing the celebs and famous fighters who show up.

BTW, I went to see Leonard vs. Duran I, on closed circuit at a theater in Houston, Texas (1980) - the quality was fucking horrible, I couldn't even see most of the punches landing, or tell who was winning until the decision was announced.
