So did Alexander Miroshnichenko who stopped lennox lewis and riddick bowe in the Ams. He was the inspiration for Drago...

Shall we discuss him too then?

Rocky starred in 6 movies Drago only 1 and he was the villain.

If you would like too, feel free. The thing is you are not American or from the same generation as Brockton so your touch points, references and inspirations will be different. There are probably some youngsters on here who think you talking about Calzaghe and fighters from the 80s and 90s make you an old fart . (:

    Bowe beat him

And that means Wepner would beat Miroshnichenko, who would be a PED abuser.

Reminds me a lot of Vitali, also a PED user. Wonder if Wlad used his batch of expired anabolics when he was "drugged" as he was pounded by Brewster and brutally KOed.

    Bowe beat him
He went one and one with Bowe and he beat Lewis too. He probably won the second fight with Bowe too dropping him twice but failed to get the nod!

And that means Wepner would beat Miroshnichenko, who would be a PED abuser.
What a ridiculous statement. Miroshnichenko was light years ahead of Wepner as a boxer/athlete! Wepner LOL. Lemon.

And why would he be a PED abuser? It's ironic u label these EE's as ped abusers when hardly any have tested positive for them! Wach a Klitschko OPPONENT tested positive not K2! Mcline was a doper another K2 oponent! In fact K2 are strict advocates of testing! Your hero presided over an era (80's) that was riddled with them! Tubbs, Morrisson etc and if anyone was a classic case of roid rage it was Tyson!! It's the yanks that are riddled with it...Toney, Mosley, Jones, Tarver, Vargas, Peterson, Mcline, Briggs etc

Reminds me a lot of Vitali, also a PED user. Wonder if Wlad used his batch of expired anabolics when he was "drugged" as he was pounded by Brewster and brutally KOed
VK has not tested positive for PEDS in boxing! The drugs admission is made in Vitali's autobiography. Klitschko reveals that he turned to a drug after aggravating an old leg injury he had sustained in a kick-boxing tournament.

"He went to a normal Ukrainian doctor who gave him something that would heal it, but he didn't check the doping list,".

"They are not keeping this a secret," Boente said. "You have to remember this was the Ukraine of eight or nine years ago. Things are very different now.

Freely admitting it and putting it out there is not the mindset of someone who is a conniving cheat or a regular substance abuser! This happened 2 decades ago in another sport and was prescribed by a doctor for an injury! He is a strict advocate of testing in boxing and has never once failed. Please provide a source for his substance abuse in boxing?

In his long professional career, Klitschko has been tested routinely for banned substances, including steroids, and has always been clean.

Tests for steroids are normal in Germany, where he had the majority of his contests during his rise to the championship.

Captured the world title twice. Nice overview here:.

Can we discuss Igor Vysotsky too? Beat Terofilio Stevenson twice and a host of great americans like Tony Tubbs, Mitch Green, Greg Page etc!

How many tests did Shane Mosely fail?

    He must have been clean.
