Mine will be one of those new cardboard ones, much cheaper.

My sister had the idea, get one of those and everyone gets to paint something on it as a goodbye gesture .

I really like that idea.... have a fire in the garden get everyone round for a drink and sling me and my painted box on it.

prob needs more tweeking but i think you have something with that idea I really do

Cardboard Coffins are quite the thing. I am not an expert like Dia, but I have been doing some research recently. Not that I expect to die imminently, but I am considering making some art work around the themes of death and renewal (oooh ark at me) and I wanted to make sure I knew how to make a traditional coffin before I began.

I used to be a coffin builder. Best job I ever had. Unfortunately it didnt pay very well.

Wow. The best and most rewarding Jobs often don't. I may have to pick your brains at some point. ( In a non zombie way ).
