Agreed. Another thing here is that he lost due to a questionable points deduction and the referee failing to call a legitamate knockdown in the 1st round. Round one should have been a 10-7 round. Grant it, the right people were not informed. That is a technicality that his team dropped the ball on not him. It does not detract from the fact the he tested below the accepted level for rehab. What he is guilty of is stupidity. Not only was the amount consistent with accepted limits but he's the one that asked for random tests. Nobody is that stupid. I give him the benefit of the doubt in this instance because I have watched and kept up on him and his brother almost since they moved out of that cardboard box in the alley. Lance Armstrong can't be a drugs cheat because he beat cancer, was an inspiration to millions and raised fortunes for charity. You can't bring peoples backgrounds and personalities into these things.

Why would a drug cheat not advocate stricter testing? If they disaprove it brings immediate suspicion on themselves and also most think they won't get caught.

VADA do a type of testing called Carbon Isotope Ratio testing. CIR testing can tell the difference between testosterone that is naturally produced by the body and synthetic testosterone. Peterson's people didn't know CIR testing exists as nobody else, even USADA test for it. In the steroid world up to this point testosterone was/is the drug of choice as it's produced by the body and you can legally have up to six times the normal amount in your body, an amount that replicates the action of anabolic steroids, and still test negative in drug tests. Grant it, the right people were not informed. That is a technicality that his team dropped the ball on not him. It does not detract from the fact the he tested below the accepted level for rehab. What he is guilty of is stupidity. Not only was the amount consistent with accepted limits but he's the one that asked for random tests. Nobody is that stupid. I give him the benefit of the doubt in this instance because I have watched and kept up on him and his brother almost since they moved out of that cardboard box in the alley. VADA do a type of testing called Carbon Isotope Ratio testing. CIR testing can tell the difference between testosterone that is naturally produced by the body and synthetic testosterone. Peterson was caught with a massive level of synthetic testosterone in his system. It was prescribed by a dodgy doctor who isn't qualified to deal with hormone deficiencies and who didn't inform the authorities like he was meant to. He couldn't get any credible doctor to back his hypogonadism claim up. Peterson asked for random tests because he'd already beaten USADA random testing in his previous fight and thought there was no way he could be caught. If you're caught taking banned substances in any other sport then you're banned for a period of time, months or years. Why should this case be any different?
