The Budrage/ Smith winner would be a good opponent

Easy way to pick up a trinket & get back in the mix with the elite of the division

I don't think Cotto is interested in the weakest trinket in the division. Ishe will probably beat Cornelius.

I still think we will see Cotto/Alvarez at the near end of this year regardless of Trout. The winner of Smith and K9 is actually a step back. I just don't see him doing that.

    He was vs Foreman

Not saying it will happen, but he needs a win under his belt & to get his confidence back after the Trout fight

Yuri could not crack and egg and was a way for Cotto to break into the division via Arum. Things are quite different now.

I see what you are saying bud and would normally agree if it was not so late in the day for Cotto. You could very well be right but should K9 win and being an Arum fighter Bob might say no because Cotto did not renew his slave contract.

Alvarez will fight in May and Cotto will return in the fall. Cotto/Alvarez at MSG.

Don't get me wrong I'd still like to see Alvarez/ Cotto

But are you saying you'd like Cotto to come back against Alvarez?

I'd prefer him to face someone like Bundrage/ Smith, maybe a Kirkland type, even Rosado; a fight that he looks good in

Guys like Lara, Molina won't make him look good imo

No that is not what I am saying but I'm saying in this market this is perhaps Cotto's last fight. He's not going to fight Kirkland or Lara. This tune up stuff gets in the way at this stage. He does not need a tune-up. That is part of this pampered world of twice a year fighters that might lose ergo in need of a tit response. Lets just put him in with a no hoper and waste a year of his life in order to gain his confidence back. How about just handing him a diaper?

A win over Bundrage/ Smith gets him a trinket, a bargaining tool, gets his confidence back (he's 0-2), it's a very winnable fight against either guy & fools the public into thinking he is back to his best because he would undoubtedly dominate in fine fashion

I don't see Alvarez/ Cotto happening in May, although I would like to see it happen, so I would prefer Cotto to take a fight in the interim & if Mayweather/ Alvarez can't get things done for September then he could become the leading choice for Canelo

He is not interested in K9'S trinket at this point of his career. He is a long year away from retirement. He does not need a trinket.

    If you say so

What do you want him to do then? Fight Canelo in May?

That is my opinion so cut the arrogant cloak as a question shit.

I already said what I said and put it to the fall.

What's your issue son? Have I sworn at you? We're just debating here mate.

I live in New Zealand so have no idea what fall is, I'm guessing it's September?!

If that's the case you'd want Cotto to be inactive until then?

That's cool if that's your opinion, but my opinion is he should stay active if he can't get Alvarez in May

I also feel Canelo should fight Trout in may, why waste his time on Cotto Who Trout clearly beat!

Bro I'm not telling you anything, just trying to ascertain what your saying

Trout already cleaned Cotto out & made him irrelevant!

You should go hang out with the folks on ESB
