Trying out for my high school baseball team, I was playing the infield when an outfielder let rip a beautiful throw to the plate..... just as the coach was walking behind the catcher a bit unawares. Catcher totally whiffs on making the catch, and the ball skips off the plate (like a flat rock off a quiet pond), and catches the coach right in mid-stride as the ball was rising up again. Coach went down like he'd been shot.
