I don't understand this kind of programming really. Wouldn't it be better if the rich and famous donated 50,000 pounds once a year and just kept quiet about it? I am sure it would have the same effect as hijacking the airwaves and telling ordinary people that it is they who should be raising money for charity. It just doesn't sit quite right with me.
I wouldnt mind so much if they did a comic relief to raise money for laptops or kindles or summink.
