    Default When David met Wlad..

Has Wlad taken something from david haye after that fight?
Is david relunctant to take wlad again?
David haye could well be the next heavyweight champion of the world but where did he go wrong in that terrible outing last time.

Wlad just showed the world what a punk David Haye was. Years and years of talk and Mr. "I'm gonna decapitate him" was flopping on the canvas like a fish out of water. Haye did one of the most pathetic things a professional fighter can do.....he looked to the ref to help him win the fight or at least not get KO'd.

David Haye is a sad pathetic little bastard and he wants FAME not boxing.

David Haye will never have a career defining fight.

In saying that, what I mean is he has yet to have a fight that makes us want to see him fight again.

As of now, he will be remembered for that performance against Wlad where he kept throwing himself at the floor like a toddler having a tantrum.

His best performances are Macaranelli (who couldnt do that?) Mormeck (had been stopped by O Neil Bell) and Chisora (not a fantastic opponent but a decent result).

Like I said though, right now he is known as the "toe man"

He might never beat Wladimir, but as many of the posters on Saddo have said for a while, David Haye could clear out the division, other than Wladimir. It would help his legacy. The foes he could face and possibly beat: Joe Hanks, Kurat Pulev, Deontay Wilder, Denis Boystov, Bryant Jennings, Cris Arreola, Bermaine Stiverne, Malik Scott, and Jonathan Banks. Wins over a few of them would serve his legacy well.

I don't think Wlad took anything from Haye. He just defeated him, he didn't dish out a beating in any way, it was just a clear Wlad decision and other than a little hurt pride, I don't think it has effected Haye on a massive scale.

Lyle is very bias on this and his hatred towards Haye kind of leads him to say things harsher than they actually need to be. He called the Wlad-Haye fight perfectly for years though so I have alot of respect for that. Either way you look at it Haye turned up for the payday rather than the glory. It pissed alot of us Brits off though because it is very clear that Haye's skillset is capable of much more than this once a year "talk a fight" parade we are given. My belief is still that Haye could clean out the division, but I don't believe he really wants to do it.

Very fair post about the fight.

I think Haye realized almost immediately that the task at hand was quite different then what he saw endlessly no doubt in the Purity and Sanders fights. I think Haye turned up for the payday shortly after the first bell. It was simply not the same fighter he watched on tape. He was my biggest let down with that performance since Kirk Johnson met Vitali. He never even tried to get under the jab with a blister hook. Peter did it and he is about as fast as a leatherback turtle.

As far as "Lyle's" prediction goes I cant really comment because I was not all that active here at the time. I never even knew who Lyle was to be frank until recently. Now I know its Mr. Kabong. I'll continue to call him El. I enjoy his non sugar coated approach and in hindsight he's spot on and I'm not convinced that hate has anything to do with it. Hayes a blowhard who has no connection to legacy. And he fooled me completely.

See here's the thing. If Haye thought he could do it, he would be trying to do just that. But by holding out for a Klitschko, he's telling the world he doesn't think he can grind his way through the top contenders. Whether he could or not is irrelevant. And he does himself no favors (with Brits or otherwise), by shooting his mouth with empty promises.

What happened was 2 outside fighters met on he world stage and ruined one of the biggest fights of the year.

David Haye tried to look for the 1 shot to drop Wlad (which it would have) and he never found it. He was cautious of Wlads power, too cautious.

    Positives for Haye.
-he proved he has a good chin that can be hit repeatedly by a solid puncher.

Wlad did what Wlad does well, avoids getting hit and fired his jab straight all night.

i was in benedorm on a stag do and i put 1 bet on the fight, 5 euros on wlad by UD

    won myself 35

haye takes all of the blame for the fight, and perhaps he deserves a lot of it after he promised so much (wlad also promised a KO though and jabbed and held)

but wlad has been fighting the same causious back foot avoid getting hit way for years

yeah haye contributed to making a big HW title fight boring, wlad does that a couple of times a year
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend

No he didn't () - Wlad was going to take the fight to Haye, punish him and look spectacular with a KO victory.
    3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

If haye gets to fight Wlad again he needs to make it a 3 round fight and bring it for every round.
Wlad hates fighters and haye can punch but needs to let them go.
He disgraced himself last time and a rematch cant get any worse!

Yeah, sort of go for broke? Haye has nothing to lose. So make it a brawl.

If Haye catches Wlad with the type of shot that rocked Valuev then he will put him out cold.
