Rankings are for uneducated fair weather boxing fans that like to pretend they know whats going on.

    Rankings - Meaningless
    Belts - Meaningless

Amir Khan is currently ranked number two welterweight in the world by the WBC despite the fact that he's never fought at welterweight.

Changes daily from what I can understand. I don't think wins or level of opponents have anything to do with rankings at all.

Not sure if fighters can affect their rankings by wearing certain colour shorts or boots.

In fact I think sometimes you can lose, even by knockout and still get a good ranking without facing anyone of any note to climb back up.

It's all fun and games. Sometimes they do it by raffle.
