wilder is very raw, but he is massive and powerful and he could catch haye, if it was down to skill it would be a no contenst

Granted Haye is the better guy if you're thinking about going to the cards, but in a fight where the first meaningful power punch landed probably leads to the end of the fight I'm not certain how Haye handles that kind of situation as he's been a bit gunshy before vs heavyweights. Deontay is a big mystery as well, 28 fights in and nobody knows how good or bad his chin is yet or his stamina for that matter.

I agree completely, it's hard to get a read on a fighters abilities when his fights rarely last longer than the second round. He hasn't been tested yet, in my opinion.
His alias should be The Mystery Bomber or The Bronze Mystery instead of The Bronze Bomber. lol
I thought the Audley fight would tell us more but Deontay outsmarted us again by doing what he does best, punching like a mule kicks.
I know we sound strange complaining that his fights don't last long enough, but it frustrating not knowing if he'll crash and burn in his next fight

I cannot stand Haye but I could see him doing a number on Wilder. Sure Haye has been down but he's gotten up. You could sail a ship through the gap of experience and self awareness between the two. He has the rounds and showed patience (too much) with a Wlad and Valuev and Chisora. Wilders approach is literally wreckless and sure he bombed out a shambling shell in Harrison, but he was two left feet away from falling on his face or tearing a knee. Anyone with half a mind who can time that wide Paul Bunyan approach will have Wilder learning on the job real quick and regretting not having been even slightly tested. He is koing bobies sent into be ko'd and has zero clue how he'll react when faced with a guy not playing the foil, adapting to adversity for crying out loud.

Yes but seeing how Haye HAS played it cautious before, would that not give the advantage of the role of aggressor to Wilder? Wilder attacks, recklessly or not isn't the issue, he attacks and once he starts swinging if he connects its going to do some damage regardless of who he hits.

That's the key for me, if Haye attempts to wait out Wilder instead of meeting fire with fire then its just a matter of how much Wilder hurts Haye when he connects and I don't think it would be good for Haye to absorb those kind of punches.

Haye would demolish Wilder. Wilder is rubbish.

Really though, you of all people know thats apples and oranges Wlad has a stick and depth that Wilder can't be compared with. He also knows the cost of being wreckless and not sticking to skills allllll too well! Haye played it cautious...but he wasn't the only one. Wlad respected power/speed. Its not a tough man contest or a Kimbo slice highlight reel and Wilder is dangerously close to 'learning' mistakes and I dont see a great foundation of boxing mind to fall back to if...when...he gets rocked, dropped, cut up in return. I look like a beast on my heavybag for about 12 minutes then I tend to gas out not to mention it never hits me back
