I'm drunk right now but I saw the fight a lot closer then people are sayin. Guerrero didn't look bad to me. I'll watch it again and rescore it. But mayweather didn't look that good.

Maybe or showtime only showing mayweathers highlights and none of guerreros. Or maybe Guerrero didn't land any punches and mayweather did but I'm pretty sure a lot of mayweathers hit gloves as well but maybe glove punches count only for him and not for others

I saw a Floyd that couldn't miss with the lead right hand, and according to CompuBox landed about 60% of his power shots. But he took a couple of rounds off. Had he not, he may have had Guerrero in a heap of trouble there.

I saw him miss quite a few and get caught with mean left hooks/uppercuts to the body. Mayweather was hesitant to lead with the right hand for a while. Don't get me wrong he landed a few but Guerrero landed a lot of punches that I feel he wasn't counted for either. I just think the fight was a lot closer then people are saying. I'll rewatch it sober though to see how off I am though lol I just hope I'm not off that bad 0_o

Don't drink and watch, it impairs your watching.

Fight won easily 10-2 and thats being kind.

Floyds defense is back to how it was AND he is at the correct weight.

Its easy to say robert should have done this or that but when your getting countered all night and nearly knocked out in the 8th round you can get reluctant.

Floyd ducked and weaved all over the place and showed he can beat southpaws just as easy.

    September should be even better.

I think guerrero had a better time of it then he is being given credi5t for but I still gave him 1 round. Still, it wasnt like Floyd- Gatti orthe Marquez mismatch. I think mayweather fought a really nice fight thougn. Early, I thought he was too stationary and legitmately thought that maybe his kegs really were leaving him. Against Cotto, he actually needed to combination punch because he wasnt moving as much as he shoukd have been. One day Floyds legs will go and Floyds dominance of the sport will go with it. I thought maybe the Cotto bout was a precursor to that but that was proven wrong. Good fight, great effort by Guerrero and a better job by Mayweather. After a year layoff, there was absolutely adversity early but it didnt seem to matter.

Btw I watched in a movie theater and that was an awesome experience.

Floyd never had Guerrero in any danger of being stopped, he dominated and IMO won 9 to 3 but lets not get carried away now, he never stunned, rocked, or had Guerrero remotely hurt much less close to being stopped

that being said, IMO Floyd even at 36 walks right through Broner, would love the build up to that fight also, Floyd would rip him a new ass for ripping off his gimmick

    Yes he did.

He hurt him in the 8th round.
That was fairly obvious even with floyds delicate hands.

Buzzing a guy is much different from 'having him nearly knocked out'. He was landing head snapping rights but Guerrero never looked like he was about to fold up and take ten.

Floyds delicate hands and default line at the end of a large amount of his fights has never really held water with me. I know his problems but you cannot go on constantly about the least damage sees you last longer, being a defensive mind etc and then turn around with 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' gone for a ko once you hear some boos and how one sided a fight is. Not to mention it didn't stop him from shaking hands with at least 15 fans in the crowd afterwards?! Not only is it not needed by one regarded as the best fighter in the sport, its condescending as shit to a guy who by no means disgraced himself and wasn't exactly blown out of the water.

Guerrero was disapointing he should have done what he did to Berto, I know it is easier said than done against Floyd, but he has been out a year and all the Ghost did was try and box with from the outside at Floyds pace. That was never ever going to work. It was an easy nights work for Floyd.

Floyd is like Wlad, not taking any chances with a multi million dollar contract.

I don't think Guerrero has a thing to be ashamed of. The same thing happened to him that happens to everyone who Floyd fights, he lost.
Like you said, he was never in serious trouble and didn't get blown out of the water.
Nobody was surprised when Floyd started controlling the fight and nobody was surprised that he won handily.
