I say luck as in Burns was in a fortunate situation when he fought Kev.
It's no mystery that Kev had many outside issues leading up to the fight so that had to affect his training. U gotta acknowledge that. So Burns was lucky to have faced a distracted Kev who hadn't even trained properly.. FACT
U do admit that Burns ducked Broner 3x like a pansy right, Rich? It's a blatant duck with no shame.
And he's also fortunate that his big fights are being held on his turf, even the Vazquez fight was gonna be there. He's lucky that the fight got cancelled cuz Vazquez was going to embarass him..
U see how lucky he is?
Just wake me up when he faces a tip-top shape elite opponent in America....
Adrian Broner has left the lightweight division so there will be no Broner-Burns, not like Burns would have accepted that challenge. What there can be though is Miguel Vaszquez, who I think beats Burns, although I know a lot of people disagree with me. Consider though that when Burns left Warren for Hearns, he was signed to fight Vasquez, but then his opponent changed. I understand there is reason behind it, but still.
I agree that Vazquez would have beaten BUrns.. the higher power is on BUrns' side cuz dude is always able to dodge these tough fights for easier ones..
HE's a one trick pony and his managment is protecting him. Dont be surprised if they offer Mercito Gesta a fight next.
UD
PTS
TKO
That's at least three tricks right there
You make your own luck in this game, Ricky has done that he has matured into a descent fighter,
as a Champion which Ricky is he and his management, make a decision who they face maybe
the money was not right.! Let's face it you fight Broner, you want a GOOD purse not chicken feed,
it's about money you and I no it. If the money is right people fight, it's not rocket science is it.![]()
Call me biased, but burns has the skills to take a few more world titles.
He beats Abril and Velasquez imo.
Broner would be his only trouble, but seen as he's moved up, there's a good chance Burns could unify the division.
Or at least he has the easiest route of all Brits currently holding world titles to do so.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
