He's what 22? And he has almost the same record as Floyd.
Numerically yea. Quality? Not even close, Canelo has only fought really one top guy in his prime and IMO still lost the fight or well barely won it, and that was against Trout.

Floyd has wins over the likes of Genaro Hernandez (RIP), Manfredy (when he was a good fighter), Corrales, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Castillo, Corley, Gatti (RIP), Judah, De La Hoya (coming off the Mayorga win), Hatton, JMM, Mosley (although past it, he was further passed it when he fought Canelo), Ortiz, Cotto, and now Guerrero

Canelo has beaten up Baldomir (4 yrs after Floyd did it), Hatton (Matthew that is =/), Rhodes, Gomez (tiny fighter), Cintron, Mosley (came out with his walker), Lopez, and now Trout

so the difference is clear as day when it comes to quality

Thank god someone else found it appalling that someone would compare the record of PBF to Canelo.

As far as 147 goes... like it or not, Floyd is the Money Man in the sport of boxing. He dictates the terms. He's cemented his legacy in the sport, while Canelo is just a fresh faced kid. He should bite the bullet and come down.

Wow I'm actually a little surprised by this. This is the same crap Pacman has done to his opponents. Maybe Floyd is a little scared of Canelo and does not want to lose his 0.

LOL... Okay if you say so; Taking a fighter out of his comfort zone does not seem like it would be a legit win to me, be it Pacman or Money May.

Then dont take the fight then..

Oscar dictated the weight, gloves, ring and etc when he fought floyd and guess what floyd took the risk and beat him..

Why cant canelo?..could be the passing of the torch but we will never know as canelo wont step up (or down) to the plate.

    This is all foreplay.

Floyd beats Alvarez at 147 or 154.

I agree for Canelo not to take the fight. Its 1 thing to go up but its another to come down. Floyd can go up no problem which he's done before. Why not have Chavez Junior come down to 154 then. Canelo has outgrown 147 and 154 will not be far off.

Excuse the bad lanuage but thats Complete bollocks.

Yes, why doesnt the best, highest paid athlete on earth disadvantage himself against an overrated light heavyweight come fightime!

Canelo will weigh TWO stone (25-30lbs) more than floyd come fight time!

If coming down in weight is so bad why doesnt canelo go up in weight and fight andre ward which would be another mega showdown.

Floyd ducks no one and since he destroyed guerrero after a year off and a stint in prison the hate seems to have intensified against him.

Jeez, canelo cant even ko a game matthew hatton and has tko like ryan rhodes on his resume and everyone is trying to turn him into another pac man.

Timothey bradley has fought much better opponents than canelo and has all the heart in the world, he deserves the payday not canelo.

The hate for floyd must make him the most hated boxer of all time.(excluding luis resto)

How anybody can not appreciate what he does between the ropes must have blinkers on.

What doesn't make sense is how he always wanted Cotto to feel comfortable.
